If one cannot enjoy a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all." -Oscar Wilde

I haven't had a spare moment to update this section. So I managed to finish Hemingway and Fitzgerald in the last month, plus Gone and The Serpent's Shadow. But, then I got sidetracked with work and writing my own novel. Today I did finish The Lost Hero by Riordan. I must say, I really do love his writing.

Much more reading to come now that summer is here!

April 30, 2013

I haven't had time to update lately. Been too busy with my nose in a book. I've read tons more books. Too many to list here. Some of the more notable include:  Matched, Crossed, Eve of Darkness, Eve of Destruction, Eve of Chaos, Gone, The Last Olympian, and Insurgent.

On my TBR pile: A Farewell to Arms, The Great Gatsby, Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald, The Alchemyst, The Serpent's Shadow, Found, The Raven's Gate, and Gregor the Overlander. It's a bit eclectic. I'll update the reviews soon.

Finished The Throne of Fire last night, so today I'm going to start Divergent. Looking forward to starting this book.

April 13, 2013

I took a day off (shocker!!!) yesterday from reading because I was down to my last book and I didn't know when I'd get to the store to pick up some more. Wanted to savor the experience, you know.

I did pick up The Titan's Curse and The Battle of the Labyrinth today, which are the third and fourth book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. There's only one left in the five-book series after I finish this one. I did manage to make it to the store. I picked up Divergent, after reading a review by my friend and fellow blogger Kay Riggs. I also nabbed The Throne of Fire, book two in the Kane Chronicles series by Riordan. My mother donated Eve of Chaos, Eve of Destruction, and Eve of Darkness  as well as  A Passion for Him by Sylvia day.

Stay tuned for more reviews. I'm a little behind in writing them, but that happens when you work as much as I do!

April 11, 2013

I finished the second Sylvia Day book yesterday. I took the evening off to relax and catch up on some TV (much needed break for me!).

I started reading Sea of Monsters today.

April 10, 2013

In the wee hours of the morning, I finished The Red Pyramid. I liked this one. Had the same sorts of ideas like the Percy Jackson books (by the same author).

Later in the day I'll start Reflected in You.

April 9, 2013

Went to the store and picked up  Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan (the second book to The Lightening Thief) and Reflected in You.  Can't wait.

Started The Red Pyramid tonight.

April 8, 2013

Finished Bared To You. Seriously one of the best I have started recently. Stay tuned for a long review of this and its sequel, Reflected in You, which I am going to pick up!

April 6, 2013

Finished The Lightening Thief. Loved it.

Started Bared to You by Sylvia Day. Think 50 Shades meets a good writer!

April 5, 2013

Finished perks last night. Stay tuned for a review.

Started The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan. This series has received lots of praise by numerous readers, authors, and publishers alike.

April 3, 2013

Finished The Paris Wife tonight. Awesome book. Perhaps even shed a tear or two!

Started the perks of being a wallflower. Been told this has been a good book. We shall see!

April 2, 2013

Just got back from Target (where books are always one of my must-stops). Picked up five new books with my recent birthday cash. Started The Paris Wife by Paula McLain.

This story chronicles Hadley Hemingway and her famous writer husband as they move to Paris during the 1920s, engaged with the fabled "Lost Generation." As Ernest attempts to pen a novel, Hadley adjusts to her new roles in a new country and new marriage. Eventually, the couple will find themselves in a crisis that will lead to the unraveling of everything.

Stay tuned for an update and book review.
